We are a Consult Your Community Organization
We are a Consult Your Community Chapter, a member of Consult Your Community, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that inspires communities into action. Through semester-long, skills-based consulting projects, we mobilize college students to leverage their education, digital fluency, mentorship networks, and knowledge as customers to empower small business owners and drive change in their communities. We are one of 30 chapters on college campuses around the country.
Began as The Concourse Group
Founded in 2012, we began as the Concourse Group, whose mission stated “The Concourse Group is a non-profit microfinance organization based in The Bronx that fosters and accelerates entrepreneurship in low-income communities.
Relaunched as Metro Consulting
After taking the 2018 school year to build out the structure (executive teams, clients, Fordham connections, etc.) and fully rebrand the organization, Metro Consulting has made a name for itself on campus with its newly formed strategies. With a new focus on pro-bono consulting work for MWBE’s in the Bronx, our organization grew to over 35 members with 15+ companies served over
Merger with CYC
After a year of hard work from our whole team, Metro consulting merged with CYC to become one of their 27 accredited chapters. With our organizations size, reputation, and connections within the Fordham community combined with CYC National’s resources, connections to other schools, and expertise, we are very excited about the impact we can have on small businesses around the Fordham Campus.
