We are a Consult Your Community Organization

We are a Consult Your Community Chapter, a member of Consult Your Community, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that inspires communities into action. Through semester-long, skills-based consulting projects, we mobilize college students to leverage their education, digital fluency, mentorship networks, and knowledge as customers to empower small business owners and drive change in their communities. We are one of 27 chapters on college campuses around the country.

Our History

Originally founded in 2012, we began as the Concourse Group, as a non-profit micro-finance organization that fostered and accelerated entrepreneurship in low-income communities.

In 2018 the Concourse Group was fully rebranded to Metro Consulting. This new organization focused on pro-bono consulting work for small businesses in the Bronx, and the new organization grew to over 35 members with over 15 businesses served.

Merger with Consult Your Community

In 2019, Metro merged with CYC to take advantage of resources, connections and funding to become one of their 27 accredited chapters. CYC provides a nationwide network of chapters that share strategies, knowledge and best practices to improve our client’s experience.
